Risk and Return 2020

Risk and Return Webinar Series 2020

Our Risk & Return seminars have been running for the last 6 years.   Every year we tour the country and deliver the latest information on ACC, health and safety, workplace claims, and general business risk. This year of course it is a little different. Covid-19 and the uncertainty with which it entails has made us a little wary of booking physical venues. So we, like many businesses are pivoting and making the seminars online, AKA webinars. And this year to make it even more special, the proceeds of sales are going to Mates in Construction, because now more than ever is a good time to support our fellow kiwis in maintaining mental health. Last but definitely not least, we have over $12k worth of giveaways (free stuff!) from the good people at Pracmed NZ, n3 and Manual Handling NZ.

ACC Claims and Experience Rating

Experience Rating changed on 1 April 2020. A lot more 'blue collar' businesses have received larger penalties. This may seem unfair... and possibly is... however there are three secrets we want to share with you to move your business into the discount space.

1 Benchmarking - what is actually possible in your industry and what where do you sit compared to the rest in your levy code

2 Formal review challenges - learnings from recent reviews on challenging claims.

3 Taking control - it is not as hard as you think!

This is a practical no nonsense webinar with the sole aim to give you the knowledge and tools to manage your Experience Rating.

Sue and Marty will team up again for this webinar. Both have a great deal of experience in the claims space - Sue from an ACC process perspective and Marty from a legal and employers perspective.

2020 Risk & Return

This is the 7th installment of the Manage Group Risk & Return series. Normally we do them live but this year... we will run 5 webinars, one per week, covering key and topical issues.

  1. Totika: the new subcontractor prequal scheme from CHASNZ

  2. ACC Risk: like any insurance, do you know your risk and what you should pay?

  3. HR Matters: what are the leading issues and how to solve them

  4. ACC Claims & Experience Rating: what you need to know

  5. Business Continuity Planning: what is it, why do we need it, how do we do it?

Webinars will run for 45 minutes including Q&A.

The first 15 people who register will receive a complementary ticket to PracMed's 'Stop The Bleed' course valued at $150 each! Learn how to save a life. Only one ticket per person / business across the 5 webinars.

Manual Handling NZ are providing a course for up to 15 pax valued at over $2k to Auckland based employers. This draw will be done at this webinar.

All attendees* will go into the draw for a n3 annual membership. There will in fact be two draws… 1 for those with under 50 employees and one for those with 50+ employees.

* the draw ill be made at the last webinar on November 12th. Winners will be notified by phone and email. Memberships are transferable.
