Sometimes (ok, always) you have to practice what you preach.
I came back from the UK with a dreaded chest infection that wasn’t planning on leaving me anytime soon. I contacted my medical centre and was met with sorry, no time no room no help. Oh sorry, except for in 4 weeks time. Huh??? Ok, no problems, so I contacted another medical centre with a similar story. Then another. And another.
It seems NZ is in a rather poor position when it comes to getting medical help.
Earlier this year we formed a partnership with The Doctors and HouseCall. We set this up to assist our clients to get the right help by the right people at the right time.
I have to apologise to the Team at The Doctors as obviously I did not connect the dots with using them for my own needs. Not sure why… other than not being 100% congruent with the solution. My mistake.
Well, I have used them now and am I glad I did!!
I got an appointment within 20 minutes of making the booking. 20 minutes!!!!
The Doctor that treated me was awesome. Chioma was clear, engaging, and I felt respected throughout the consultation. He was able use the video medium very well.
The script was with my local pharmacy within 2 minutes of the call finishing.
