A practical approach to the Work Permit framework and the roles of Issuer and Receiver. We align with insurance policy requirements as well as best practice.
Minimal fluff and to the point - this is not an NZQA unit so we can be more specific to what we should focus on. We cover 6 of the more frequently used work permits including Hot Work and Working at Height.
This course is for the typical tradie; warehousing and manufacturing who have contractors come in for maintenance; property managers who use tradies to do work; etc.
Explain work permit procedures and requirements.
Ensure the need for work permit is properly identified and the worksite prepared accordingly.
Issue, monitor, close and audit work permits.
Understand the types of work permits and the roles of those involved in the Work Permit system.
Understand the requirements to prepare, receive and undertake work under the permit.
Describe and carry out the controls and actions to be taken at the end of the work period or upon the completion of work.
