How does it all work?

Introduction to managing health & safety for Clubs in NZ. A practical module designed to give the fundamental skills across three key areas.

1.       Risks: Identifying and assessing risks to ensure that the club stays safe. We link in with your insurance requirements (i.e. minimal use of multi-boards; using fryer covers; etc).

2.       Competencies: To manage risks, we need competent staff. We show the type of training that is beneficial covering SOP’s, self-led, etc.

3.       Incidents: although nobody wants an incident, they are one of the best ways to improve our health & safety. Our collective job is to prevent incidents from happening again. We go through the processes involved.

By completing the Clubs H&S Passport ‘Module 1’, the participant will have the knowledge to identify risks; start creating the controls to manage the risk; identify what training may be required; and investigate incidents and identify what needs to be done to prevent them from happening again.

Training capped at 12 people per course. Workbook provided and a certificate of completion issued at the end of the training.
