Employers contribute approximately 60% towards ACC’s operational costs. It doesn’t take much to figure out where our levies are going and it isn’t downwards.

We are already seeing the impact of ACC’s cost cutting with exacerbated timeframes for ACC to action changes. Simple requests for levy code changes are taking months to implement. Claim reviews take even longer. Proactive claim management requires additional sign-off by ACC for simple actions that cost less than $1,000. All the while, employers are impacted. Slower return to work rates (larger penalties on your Experience Rating); cash flow is impacted because the levies are still due; frustration and time wastage in trying to get resolutions with ACC; etc.
