2026 / 27 Experience Rating is out

ACC has released their 2026 / 27 Experience Rating calculations via the 2027 Info Sheet Report.

This report sets out what your Experience Rating will be for the current financial year.

To access this, please go to your MyACC and follow the steps below. If you do not have access to MyACC, either check internally to see who does or check our MyACC Factsheet that provides guidance.

Step 1: In MyACC you will see the following tabs or a variation thereof. Please select ‘Timeline’.

Step 2: under Timeline, select ‘Account Activity’ and you should see the Info Sheet Report.

Step 3: Click the down arrow on the right hand side to expand and you can download the pdf report.

Step 4: the report has a bunch of different information in it including the rate, the claims impacting the rate, any other business that is grouped under ‘Business Grouping’.

You will note in the image below the discount / loading range is from -50% to 100%. This is a substantial range. There are nuances as to what level of discount you can achieve but one thing is consistent, if you are not in the discount range you are gifting ACC money.

The business in the image below has a 30% discount.

The image below highlights the last 3 years. This is to highlight the trend and also that Experience Rating has a 3 year cycle. That is, one claim will last for 3 years so the financial pain is exaggerated.

As you can see in the image, the track record for this business is exactly what we want to see. This is what we @ Manage do, manage your ACC risk.

Key Takeaway - check your Experience Rating – if it is anything but a discount, we need to chat!!
